Flip Flops and Sunshine.
Thanksgiving is only one week away and we’re expecting 70 degrees this week here in Ohio. Now I’m not complaining. I’ll take 70 and sunny anytime of the year. In fact, looking into the next week, it looks like the bottom is falling out on the temperatures. I’m sure we’ll be cozy under blankets in front of the fire in no time.
When those cool temperatures do blow in, you can bet I want a hot drink in my hands. One of my favorite holiday drink recipes is this spiced cranberry apple cider. Slightly tangy, a little sweet…full of the flavors that whisper “Christmas”.
Because I always like to have a hot drink in my hands, I need a dependable thermal bottle to keep my drinks warm. This Thermos® Brand Stainless King 40-ounce Beverage Bottle is big enough to hold your favorite beverage for not only yourself, but your family, too!
This Thermos brand bottle is vacuum insulated and keeps liquids hot or cold for a full 24 hours. And they’re giving away some of their products to 10 lucky winners! You can enter on their Facebook page.
In under 20 minutes you’ll be keeping warm with a tangy spiced cranberry apple cider. This recipe is versatile. You can simmer it in your crockpot all day if you’d like (no candle needed for a fragrant home!). You can adjust the amount of sugar. Add more white or brown sugar if you’d like it sweeter. We prefer the cider a little tangy so go easy on the sugar.
Use whole cinnamon sticks, allspice and cloves while the cider is simmering, then strain out those spices for a smooth, sweet drink.
Have some cranberries on hand? Throw a couple in the top of the cups for a holiday look. Your guests will think you spent hours on this cranberry apple cider, but you’ll know the secret. 😉
Don’t wait for those snowflakes. It could be awhile.
