Cranberry Pineapple Iced Tea

Wow, have we twisted up our lives into a beautiful, tangled mess this fall.

Fall is usually our busy season. Add to that buying a house and selling our own house. Homeschooling three kids. Running a small business. Dance lessons. Cross-country practices.

All of those things are huge blessings and I’m thankful for each one, but I’m ready for a break. Ready for a home-cooked dinner around the table with my little family instead of grabbing convenient food as we grab our shoes, run out the door and listen to it slam behind us as we jump into the minivan.

Really…I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Any time we sit around together at mealtime is a special treat. Whether it’s hearing Kinslee’s latest joke or listening to Braden ramble on about his latest obsession, we’re together, and that’s what matters. It’s refreshing. It’s family. They help me take a deep breath after a long day.

The perfect, comforting drink to pair with any mealtime menu is iced tea. I grew up drinking iced tea and now I’m happy to say my kids love it, too! I took Lipton’s Cold Brew Iced Tea and reimagined it as a refreshing, crisp, fall-flavored drink. Cranberry Pineapple Iced Tea. It’s an afternoon pick-me-up and a reviving beverage to go alongside your family dinner.

I often forget to have drinks ready when we sit down to a family meal. Lipton’s Cold Brew Iced Tea makes last-minute drink preparation easy! There’s no need to boil water. For 2 quarts, just pour 8 cups of cool water over 2 tea bags that you have in a pitcher. Brew the tea for 5 minutes, dunking the tea bags frequently while the tea is brewing. Then stir the tea, remove the tea bags, and you have a drink ready to go!

How to Make Cranberry Pineapple Iced Tea

Making this Cranberry Pineapple Iced Tea is just as easy. You’ll simply add 2 ½ cups 100% cranberry juice and 3 cups of 100% pineapple juice to the tea. We aren’t used to drinking sweet tea, so we don’t add any additional sugar. If you like your tea super sweet, go ahead and sweeten the tea to your taste with your favorite sweetener.  We find that for us, just the juices are the right amount of sweetness.

Maybe this is not a busy season for you. It’s possible that you need something to liven up your family dinnertime togetherness.

Delicous. I am Southern so sweet tea is a natural. I do drink Earl Grey and chamomile without sugar, Earl Grey in the morning, chamomile at night, but sweet sun tea is a natural.
And I don’t worry about calories. I am six foot tall and weigh 130 lbs. I look for extra calories. So much of the grocery stores are low calorie foods. Pour extra bacon grease on mine.
