FAQ

FAQ
Why didn’t your recipe work for me?
We work hard to test each recipe and explain it as well as we can in order for you to have success in the kitchen. There are many factors that determine why a recipe might not work. We cannot tell you exactly why a recipe did not work for you because we were not in your kitchen when you made it. Please ask if you have trouble and we can work through exactly what you did not like about it and try to troubleshoot the problem. We’re here to help!

What type of camera equipment do you use?
I currently am using a Nikon D750 Digital SLR  camera with a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S NIKKOR FX Lens . We photograph our food in front of our large glass patio doors for the ultimate lighting. We have an awesome Vanguard Alta Pro 263AB 100 Aluminum Tripod that we started using a few months ago and it has made a huge difference in our photo clarity.

What do you do with all of the sweets and treats?
We sample each and every recipe, then we give away as many of the sweets as we can. We have coworkers, extended family, neighbors and a church family that are more than willing to be our taste testers.

Do you ever eat healthy food?
Yes! We are constantly striving to eat better. We have done several Whole30 clean eating plans and stick to a paleo-style diet about 80% of the time. That means gluten free, grain free, dairy free, and sugar free. Yes, it is hard to follow this eating plan when we are food bloggers, but eating this way makes us feel the best and keeps us healthy. We do our best with it and still allow ourselves some cheats here and there. If you’d like to read up on the Whole30, I recommend this book! How can I easily get your recipes?

The easiest way to see our recipes is to have them delivered to your inbox. You can subscribe to our emails on our home page.

Can I use your recipe and/or photo on my site?
We work hard to develop recipes, photograph and write about our recipes. If you use a photo of ours, please link back to our site and give credit where credit is due.

I made one of your recipes. Can I share a photo with you?
Yes! We love to see our reader’s creations of our recipes! The easiest way to share is to post a picture on our Facebook page or to post a photo on Instagram and tag us in it (@tastesoflizzyt). We look forward to seeing your photos!
