Raspberry Cream Cheese Dip

First of all…Merry Christmas!! I hope each one of you has a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends over the holidays.

Today I’m sharing with you the simplest little recipe ever. I’ve used the words “simple” and “easy” many times in the past, but this recipe beats all. It’s called Raspberry Cream Cheese Dip and it literally takes two ingredients and two minutes before you can pick up a cracker and start dipping into this sweet dip.

The two ingredients? Cream cheese and preserves. You can use any type of preserves that you like, but I highly suggest trying some hot pepper raspberry preserves.  We use the Rothschild brand and you can buy it here.

Now if you’re like my kids, the minute you see “hot pepper” and include it with raspberry preserves, you may turn up your nose. Trust me though. This jelly has a little bit of a kick to it, but you’ll not mind the fact that there are peppers inside these preserves. We forced our kids to try it (mean parents, right?!) and although they were certain they wouldn’t like it, they instantly started helping us devour the remainder of the pretty dip. It was one of those times I was praying they wouldn’t like the dip so there was more for me.

Think you’ve got it? Even if you’re scared to death of the kitchen you can handle this one, friends.Raspberry Cream Cheese Dip - Tastes of Lizzy T This dish is perfect because it can be served as an appetizer or as a dessert. Just dip in some buttery, round crackers and watch it disappear.

Oh…and one last thing. Kinslee’s comment was: “Since it has peppers in it, it’s kinda healthy, right?”  I love the way that girl thinks!

Merry Christmas to you all!

I’ve been making this for years using a layer of green jalapeño sauce over the cream cheese before putting Smuckers raspberry preserves covering the top. It’s always the first appetizer gone! Merry Christmas!

Thank you for this easy appetizer recipe. I bought Bonne Maman’s raspberry preserves and wished after-the-fact that I had a bowl to put both the cream cheese and preserves. The preserves ran a bit. It didn’t matter. This was a hit and most were interested in this recipe, so I am sharing this one and will have to try the pepper raspberry preserves another time.
