spice rub
probe thermometer
roasting pan
7-8 pound pork butt
Mix together your favorite pork rub and cover all sides of the pork roast with the rub.
Place the pork loin in a roasting pan on a wire rack. Bake for 30 minutes at 450ºF and then 7-8 hours at 250ºF.
The internal temperature of the pork butt should be 195ºF. Remove from the oven, cover with foil and let rest for 15 minutes.
The outside of the pork butt will have a nice dark crust. It's deliciously easy in the oven!
Use two forks to shred the pork after it rests. It will be perfectly juicy.
