Watermelon Agua Fresca
Use up leftover fruit in this easy summer drink recipe! Learn how to make watermelon agua fresca with this quick 5 minute recipe. Perfect to cool off with in the summer months.
- 4 cups watermelon chunks
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 lemon (juice only)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or honey)
In a small bowl or cup let your chia seeds and 2 tablespoons of water soak together. Let sit until chia seeds are gelatin like. (about 5 minutes)
Add the remaining ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth.
When ready to serve, split chia seeds between two cups.
Serve cold garnished with fresh fruit, if desired..
Depending on how juicy your watermelon is, you may not need to add in any extra water. It really just depends on how thin you'd like your agua fresca to be. Add the water slowly until it is the thickness you'd like.
