Cranberry Cream Cheese Bars

Cranberry Cream Cheese Bars combine the sweetness of cream cheese with tart cranberries. The crust is also the streusel topping!

  • 1/3 cup butter softened
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Cream Cheese Mixture:

  • 8 ounces package cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup jellied cranberry sauce


  • Cream together the butter and the brown sugar. Mix in the flour and the walnuts. Reserve one cup of this mixture for the topping. Press the remaining mixture into the bottom of an 8" square baking pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar, egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla until well blended. Pour this over the baked crust. Spoon teaspoonfuls of the jellied cranberry sauce over the top of the cream cheese mixture. Then take a knife and gently swirl the cranberry sauce into the cream cheese.
  • Sprinkle the reserved crumb topping over the top.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Allow the bars to cool and cut into squares. Store the bars in the refrigerator.
