One skillet, 30 minutes, real cheeseburger flavor. This foolproof pasta won't clump, won't dry out, and beats the box every time. The pickle trick is everything.
Brown the ground beef in a deep, large skillet over medium-high heat. As it cooks, break it up and then add the diced onion. Cook until the beef is no longer pink. Stir in the garlic.
Add the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt and pepper to the beef and mix until the meat is coated evenly.
Stir in the macaroni, beef broth and milk and bring to a low simmer. Cover the skillet and cook on low for about 13-15 minutes until the macaroni is cooked. You will need to stir every few minutes so nothing gets stuck to the bottom or clumps.
A little liquid should remain, it will thicken as you stir in the shredded cheese. Mix well and leave a little for the top. Turn off the heat and cover the skillet again for a couple minutes so the cheese melts.
Add the diced pickles over the top for the full cheeseburger taste. Serve hot and enjoy with a simple side salad.
