The easiest ways to enjoy the chicken, ham and Swiss flavors! Prep slow cooker chicken cordon bleu in just 5 minutes for a delicious comforting dinner in the evening.
Spray a slow cooker liner with cooking spray. Place the 4 chicken breasts in the bottom.
Place a slice of ham on the top of each chicken breast, then top with a slice of swiss cheese.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, milk, mustard, parmesan cheese and nutmeg. Pour this over top the chicken.
Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix over the top. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-7 hours or until the chicken is fork tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
NOTE: If desired, uncover the last 45 minutes of cooking so that the stuffing firms up a little. It won’t be a “crispy” stuffing topping, but can help the texture. This isn’t necessary though and tastes just as good without. OR you can wait and sprinkle the dry stuffing mix on top about 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Drizzle the top of the stuffing with butter if you prefer, but I find that its not needed and saves a few calories.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
