Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburgers

This Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburgers recipe is packed full of flavor and is one of the juiciest hamburgers I've had yet. I love the french fried onions on top!

Ingredients

For the burgers:

  • 1 ½ pounds ground chuck
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Worchestire sauce

Optional Toppings:

  • 4-8 slices cheddar cheese
  • sliced tomatoes
  • french fried onions (or sliced red onions)
  • cooked bacon slices
  • ¼ cup BBQ sauce
  • lettuce
  • 4 burger buns

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, gently mix ground beef with seasonings and Worchestire sauce. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Form 4 large patties with the ground beef and set to the side.
  • Preheat the grill to at least 400º Fahrenheit. Once grill has preheated cook burgers 4-5 minutes per side, or until your desired level of “done”.
  • Once burgers are just about done, top burgers with 1-2 slices of cheese. Continue to cook to allow cheese to melt.
  • To assemble burgers, add lettuce to the top of the bottom bun, then a burger, then onions, tomatoes and bacon. Spread about a tablespoon of BBQ sauce over the bottom of the top bun.
  • Close the burgers and serve.
