Homemade Cherry Limeade

Today I’m sharing a homemade cherry limeade. This refreshing drink is pure goodness with no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial colors or flavors. It’s the real deal, my friends!

Hi! It’s so nice to ‘meet’ you. I’m Melanie Kathryn from the Gather for Bread blog where I share my passions for delicious food, baking bread and gathering people at the table. I’m so excited to be here with you today!

Homemade Cherry Limeade is an easy summer drink that the kids will love.

Have you ever been to a cherry orchard? Makes for a fun experience. Here where I live in Pennsylvania, cherry season is the end of June into July. We try to make it a point to go each summer to get our fresh cherry fix. They’re great for homemade pies, fresh drinks and so much more.

For this tasty refreshing limeade, you only need a handful of ingredients; sugar limes, cherries, and water. YES, that’s right just 4 ingredients to make this beautiful drink. Perfect for sippin’ pool-side or bringing to your next picnic or potluck meal. I bet there won’t be a drop left!

I don’t know about you but one of my favorite parts of summer is taking a chilly drink, going barefoot and heading outside to sit on the glider or by the pool and just chill and relax. Summer’s my favorite season with all it’s fresh fruit bounty and there’s nothing better than sippin’ something this good.

I made this and it was tasty, but it absolutely was not red like your pic. It was a foggy pinkish brown, even with straining. Could it be the type of cherries I used? California cherries are in season right now, so that’s what I used.
