How to Make Easy BBQ Lil Smokies
We use our
small crockpot for this recipe. It’s 2 ½ quarts and perfect for appetizers of all kinds!
Mix the bbq sauce, jelly, ketchup and garlic right in the slow cooker. Add the smokies and mix well to coat. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until heated through.
Add in cayenne pepper or hot sauce for spice. Use a chipotle bbq sauce. Use cranberry sauce or apricot jelly in place of the grape jelly. Meatballs are just as good as smokies! Swap them out for each other or use a mix of both. Chili sauce is a great option too!
How long do little smokies last in the fridge?
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days.

1 cup honey barbecue sauce 3/4 cup grape jelly 1/4 cup ketchup* ½ teaspoon minced garlic 28 ounces Eckrich Li’l Smokies 2 packages
Mix the bbq sauce, jelly, ketchup and garlic right in the slow cooker.
Add the smokies and mix well to coat.
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until heated through.
If you don’t like the taste of ketchup, use all barbecue sauce instead.
