Fresh lemon and orange juice give this grape juice lemonade a tangy kick. This refreshing easy drink recipe is perfect for parties.

There’s nothing like a tall drink of punch…whether it is at a party or if you’re kickin’ back under the shade of a tree on a spring day.

The late winter and very early spring days always make me crave fresh fruit. We try to keep a fruit salad on hand in the fridge for guilt-less snacking. Sparkling fruit salads or fruit with a creamy sauce…either works! And when the days start to heat up, having something like strawberry punch or this Grape Juice Lemonade on hand is just what the sunshine ordered.

Easy Grape Punch

I like this easy punch recipe because I generally have the ingredients on hand…and I can mix it up in 5 minutes. If a friend stops by or I forget to think of drinks for a family party, this grape juice lemonade comes to the rescue.

How to Make Grape Juice Lemonade

Here is the quick process to making grape juice lemonade:

  • Squeeze the fresh lemons and orange into a pitcher. Can you use concentrated orange juice and lemon juice? Although you probably could, this juice is best with fresh oranges and lemons.
  • Add the sugar and grape juice. You might want to start with ½ cup of sugar, then add in more if needed. Everyone likes their punch just a little bit different….some more sweet and some more tangy.
  • Mix until sugar is dissolved.
  • Add the water. Mix well.
  • Serve in glasses with ice. This drink is best when served very, very cold!

It also makes a great slushy if you use shaved ice. If you choose this, pour the lemonade over the shaved ice right before serving so the ice does not melt too quickly.

How long can lemonade sit out?

According to the FDA foods that should be refrigerated can only be left out a maximum of 2 hours at room temperature. After that it should be refrigerated.

How long does lemonade keep?

When refrigerated, lemonade should keep about 7-10 days. It will taste the best the closest you are to the day you made it though. It may get bitter and not be as sweet the longer it sits. We like to keep our homemade juice covered to keep any pesky refrigerator odors out.

When the grapes are finished cooking, pour everything into a sieve and allow the juice to filter out of the bottom, or you can also pour them through a cheesecloth in a colander which also gets the job done. If you would like to refrigerate the juice over night you may do so, just be sure to strain it again the next day. Once the juice has cooled it is ready to server.
