When we lived in northeastern Ohio, we’d frequent an Amish family restaurant quite often for a delicious breakfast buffet. On every table is a bear bottle of this deliciously sweet peanut butter spread. My kids LOVED it.
We’d often buy a bottle of it for home and you can bet it didn’t last long. Just a few years ago we visited an Amish farm and they served us this for dinner. It was a blast from the past and I searched for exactly how to make it.
This peanut butter spread is a combination of 3 ingredients: corn syrup, marshmallow fluff and peanut butter. It’s not great for you obviously, but it is a classic comfort food in Amish country and also in the south.
