The garlic bread sliders bake up crispy on the outside and stay soft on the inside for the perfect combination.

The Easy Garlic Bread Hack Everyone’s Talking About
Earlier this year I accidentally bought several packages of King’s Hawaiian rolls, which put me on a recipe testing mission.
And now this cheesy Hawaiian roll garlic bread recipe. It’s filled with a cheese center that stays soft and is full of flavor. And just like with our ham sliders, pulled pork sliders and pizza sliders, you’ll bake this variation in a butter bath so that the outside gets golden brown and lightly crisp.
These cheesy garlic Hawaiian rolls are loaded with flavor. It may be too much for some, but you can easily tweak the recipe to have less cheese filling, or no cheesy filling at all. Simply bake with the garlic butter mixture brushed on top of the rolls for a less rich garlic bread.
Serve them alongside our ravioli al pomodoro, bowtie pasta, kale tomato pasta, pasta fagioli soup or one pot sausage pasta. The lightly sweet Hawaiian rolls go best with a red sauce rather than alfredo sauce.
Enjoy! -Julie

First layer:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt
Second layer:
- 1/4 cup salted butter melted
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese half on top before baking, half after
- Fresh parsley for garnishing
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet or 9×13" baking dish with aluminum foil. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Without separating the rolls, slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls horizontally so you have a top and bottom slab, like you're making a giant sandwich. I cut them closer to the top ⅓ so the butter has space to soak into the rolls without making the bottoms soggy. 12 ounces Hawaiian Rolls
- In a small mixing bowl, mix together the mayo, mozzarella, Italian seasoning and garlic salt. ½ cup mayonnaise, 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese , ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, ½ teaspoon garlic salt
- Place the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish. Spread the mayo mixture evenly over the surface. Add the top slab of rolls back on.
- In another bowl, mix together the melted butter and minced garlic. Brush the top of the rolls with this butter mixture. Sprinkle half of the parmesan cheese over the rolls. ¼ cup salted butter, 2 teaspoons minced garlic,,,,, ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then uncover and bake for another 5 minutes, until the tops are golden and the filling is melty and bubbling slightly.
- Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top of the warm rolls, then sprinkle with fresh snipped parsley. Serve warm. Fresh parsley
